1. What this notice covers

This notice lists the cookies and browser storage Scott Applications LLC sets on www.scottapplications.com, and the third parties that may set their own when you use a map, a form, or checkout. It is part of our Privacy Policy.

2. Your choice

The banner offers three choices. Essential cookies and the ones a feature needs in order to work (checkout, the skill locker, a poll you chose to vote in) are set either way. Optional analytics run only if you choose "Accept all."

  • Accept all — essential cookies plus first-party analytics for this browser.
  • Essentials only — essential cookies. No page-view analytics.
  • Decline optional — same as essentials only. The banner uses this wording so the refusal is explicit.

To change your mind, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser and reload. The banner asks again.

3. What we set

  • sa_consent — cookie. Stores full, essential, or declined. Lasts 1 year. Set when you answer the banner. Not shared with advertisers.
  • cookieConsent — local storage, same choice, so a browser that blocks cookies still remembers that you answered. Lasts until you clear site data.
  • sa_session_id and sa_first_touch — session storage. A random id and a timestamp for the open tab, written only after Accept all, so page views in that tab can be grouped. Cleared when the tab closes. Not your name or email.
  • skill_portal — httpOnly cookie. Set for 24 hours after you unlock the skill locker with a license key or an email code. Used only to know which purchase you are downloading.
  • voted_ plus a poll id — cookie, 30 days, only if you vote. Stores the choice so the same browser is not counted twice.
  • Admin session — set only when a staff member signs in to the dashboard. It is not set for ordinary visitors.

4. Third parties

  • Mapbox — pages that show the service-area map request map tiles. Mapbox sees the IP address on that request and may set its own cookie. This is how the map is drawn. It is not an ad tag. Mapbox Privacy Policy
  • Google reCAPTCHA — contact and venture forms load reCAPTCHA to reject bots. Google may set cookies on those forms. Google Privacy Policy
  • Stripe — when you pay, checkout runs on Stripe and Stripe may set cookies there. We do not receive your card number. Stripe Privacy Policy
  • Google Analytics 4 and Meta— the code can load either tag, and only after Accept all, and only if we have configured that product's id. As of September 24, 2026 neither id is configured, so neither tag loads and neither one sets a cookie.
